Op-amp node is a part of local feedforward chain, so this node itself must have as low distortion as possible.
Because of this Q6 and diode limiter with frequency correction can be placed into the op-amp feedback.
Maybe it was not done in such way, for example, because very high input impedance of "bias emulation" input is need or due to the gain maximization.
